Saturday 10 June 2023, 20.00 · Sala Boccadoro, Montagnola

Hesse un der Bass is a unique cultural and musical fusion experience dedicated to the Indian tale Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse.

In this extraordinary evening curated by four personalities from Calw (Hesse's hometown), the double bass plays a central role in creating an enveloping atmosphere that weaves together the sounds of the East and the West in perfect interplay with the piano.

The drums, masterfully played by Thorsten Pötsch, bring to life the deep emotions of the protagonists, in perfect combination with the Indian melodies of the double bass (played by Naris Sebastian Stolz) and the Western notes of the piano (played by Fabian Galler). In the background, selected pieces directly from Siddhartha, played by Lars Hammer, resound.

A unique opportunity to immerse ourselves in the essence of Siddhartha, where instruments and narration blend harmoniously, taking us on an unforgettable journey through the cultures and sounds of East and West.
