Reading on the 60th anniversary of Hermann Hesse's death

In 1911, Hesse undertook a journey to the "Indian lands" of Malaysia, Indonesia and Ceylon. His impressions, poems and stories were published in 1913 with the title Aus Indien (From India). These texts not only give a vivid impression of his experiences and adventures, but also testify Hesse's intense relationship with Indian culture.
