Indian classical music 100 years after the publication of Siddhartha

Thursday 23 June 2022, 19.00 · Courtyard in front of the Musem (in case of bad weather, Sala Boccadoro, Montagnola)

The Bansuri flute, a transverse bamboo flute, plays a fundamental role in Indian culture and is often featured in its myths and stories. One of the most popular and beloved musical instruments on the Indian subcontinent, it produces a melodious sound with rich notes. Indian classical music, stimulating and colourful, is very refined. Its complexity of performance requires a long study under the guidance of authentic masters.

With Nicolò Melocchi (bansuri Solist), Luca Russo (bansuri), Benedetta Russo (tanpuro) e Sanjay Kansa Banik (tabla). Special Guest: K.G. Westman (sitar).

In collaboration with Ceresio Estate. Free entrance.

At 17.30, visitors can take part in a guided tour of the temporary exhibition Hermann Hesse's journey to Siddhartha.

In Italian. Free entry.

Registration is recommended.
