Reading together, in solitude

Saturday 5 July 2025, 15.30 – 18.00 · Museo Hermann Hesse Montagnola

In a world where fewer and fewer people seem to read, the value of reading as a means of knowledge and awareness is more important than ever. For the love of reading, we are reintroducing our much-loved Silent Reading events this year. These special gatherings invite participants to bring a book to the Museo and immerse themselves in uninterrupted reading for 90 minutes in a relaxed atmosphere. At the end of the session, the silence will be broken for a moment of sharing an opportunity to exchange impressions about the books read, accompanied by coffee and a slice of cake. The idea is to carve out a moment for oneself while also sharing a common passion and discovering new inspirations for future literary adventures.

This special edition is all about women. Thanks to a fantastic collaboration with Sister Library, a small but fine selection of books by women authors will be available. We look forward to seeing you!
