Concert in collaboration with Ceresio Estate

Thursday 26 June 2025, 20.30 · Piazza Camuzzi, Montagnola ♿

Throughout his life, Hermann Hesse maintained a deep and special connection with music. As a child, he played the violin; as an adult, he was a devoted concertgoer; and in his later years, when his mobility became limited, he found solace in the radio as a means of experiencing his beloved musical pieces. In honor of Hesse’s enduring passion for music, the Museo is once again hosting a special evening as part of the summer concert series curated by Ceresio Estate.

Titled Melodie al tempo di Hesse (Melodies in Hesse's time), the concert features two talented young musicians from Ticino, Luca Marsiglia (flute) and Mattia Fogato (guitar), who make their debut on this occasion. The program takes the audience on a musical journey through the two centuries contemporary with the writer, presenting a diverse selection of works by Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Tansman, Ferroud, Takemitsu, and Piazzolla. This carefully curated repertoire offers an intense and evocative experience, inviting listeners to immerse themselves in their own inner world, where music transcends the physical realm and becomes a higher entity.
